Harold Hill 0-3 Dpr 22/1/12
Dpr won away again
against tough opposition on Sunday. In a goalless first half the boys
put in a dogged display against in my opinion the toughest team we have
played in the league to date. The second half was normal service resumed
as a 4 pass move from defence to attack found George burst down the
right and put in an inch perfect cross for Connor to tap in(who had just
come on as sub) and put us one up. It was not long before our second
came as William scored another trademark goal coming down the left wing
putting us 2 up finishing another crisp move. The boys had by now got
there passing game going with George again getting down the wing leaving
the opposition in his trail to then cut inside to put the ball in the
top corner giving the goalkeeper no chance, taking his season talley to
25.The bar only stopped George from getting his second of the game when
he swept a well taken free kick from outside the box(which would of
capped his man of the match performance) The boys had finished this game
needing a point to secure the league but with results going our way ie
Redbridge drawing and Harold Hill losing to us it came to light we had
become champions of the league with 2 games left to go. The boys
thoroughly deserved the title by beating teams at will and also not
conceding a goal in 9 games this season, and showing intelligence on the
ball which sometimes should not be expected from 8 and 9 year olds. On
my behalf as a parent it has been a privilage watching this team play
all season and anyone who has watched them will know what a quality
little team they are so well done boys and we all look forward to
presentation night.

DPR Away to County Park 8th Jan 2012
County Park 0 - 8 DPR U9 Black.
Dpr carried on from where they left just before christmas with another goal spree at Harrow park lodge. There were no christmas hangovers for the boys as they yet again showed just why they sit top of the Echo league by registering the first goal after just 3 minutes. The boys put in a decent display in the first half by going in at 3-0. When the second half got underway the exellent flowing football started to shine through yet again as the boys of County park could not get hold of the ball whilst DPR played around them. A colossal performance in the middle from Harry cut out any danger before it started whilst intelligent defending and distribution from Mason and Jack helped to keep our 10th clean sheet of the season. Another player who impressed when he came on in the second half was JJ who terrorised down the right wing. A special mention has to go to William who registered a well deserved hat trick on the day and also to Daniel who even though was not called into action often still kept up his concentration to keep another clean sheet. The goalscorers on the day were William with 3, George with 2, and Harry, Conner and Taylan with 1 each. To be honest the score did not flatter the boys as the post was hit 6 times and some brave goalkeeping from the opposite number 1 on several occasions stopped the score going into double figures. At the time of writing this report our closest challengers Redbridge United in second lost 4-0 to Harold Hill putting us 5 points clear at the top of the table and now knowing that the performances have to keep coming and we could have a good chance of some silverware. Well done boys we are all very proud of you

DPR U 9's black v Tigers black socks cup game 2/10/11
DPR 1 - 0 Tigers black sock
Dagenham park rangers shocked premier league opposition on a sweltering hot day at Brettons farm. In a game that the boys pretty much dictated from the start there only looked one winner, Dpr hit the bar within the first 5 minutes with a great effort from Jack and could off easily had 4 or 5 goals to be fair.In a display that showed maturaty, stamina, and desire the boys stuck together as a team fighting for every ball with a special mention to Jay Jay who cleared up everything at the back and an outstanding clearence on the line From George. The win was finally sealed with a thunderous strike from Taylan with penalties looming after a crisp pass from Connor. And so the boys progress to the next round as deserved winners of this tie.

DPR v Harrold Hill 30th Oct 2011
DPR 3 - 0 Harrold Hill
DPR welcomed an unbeaten Harrold Hill side to the Warren on this 1 o clock kick off.
Harold Hill on the back of a 10 -0 win last weekend came up against a resilient DPR side who chased every ball and counter attacked with determination, pace and skill to go 2-0 up at half time.
With goals from Taylan and William. The second half was a tighter affair with DPR doing a lot of dogged work, not giving Harrold Hill time or space to get a grip on the game.
Another couter attack found George receiving the ball on the left some quick feet and a splitting pass putting Taylan in for his second and the game well and truely out of reach with 2 minutes to go.
An overall team performance some exellent defending by Jack and Mason proving this team will be a match for anyone in this league and they will all bust a gut for each other. Well done boys and a great present for manager Tony Hampson who celebrated his 40th birthday on Sunday.

DPR Playing Away To Collier Row 13.11.11
Collier Row 3 - 10 DPR
Dpr gave Collier Row a real football lesson in this away fixture on Sunday. In a scrappy first half which consisted of mainly long ball football Dpr failed to get a grip on Collier Rows route one style and the fact the first half they played uphill. 3 sloppy goals were conceded by Dpr but they still had the character to go in at half time 3-3, with a harsh penalty awarded to Collier Row dead on half time of which Daniel saved sublimely for the away side. The second half suited Dpr as they were playing down hill and could now get on with playing the quick one and two touch football of which they are used to. As much as Collier Row tried to play the football they are comfortable with they just could not stop Dpr controlling the game with fluent passing and awareness of each other . Needless to say Dpr ripped the home defence to pieces to score 7 goals in the second half and keep the pressure on the top team in the league of which they meet next Sunday in a top of the table clash. This was another solid display from a team of 9 year olds who appear to be a lot older when they get on a football pitch. The goal scorers were George with 3, Mason 2, William 2, Taylan 1, Connor 1 and Jack with 1.

Dpr 4 Redbridge United 0 20/11/11 Dpr on paper faced there toughest opposition yet when they welcomed Redbridge United to the Warren on Sunday. Redbridge free-scoring leaders in the league and unbeaten all season came up against an unstopable force in Dpr, With Jack playing like a young John Terry at the back and the tenacity in the chase and tackle from Mason. Redbridge did not get a single shot at Daniels goal to mention. With the quality distribution from the back to the creativity and pace in midfield Dpr went on another unforgiving rampage, with Connors exellent hold up play bringing the time needed for the midfield to overlap and show no mercy to the Redbridge defence, the boys were soon one up. With some tactical changes made at half time the lads were soon 4 - 0 up. Goals on the day were from Connor(rewarded for his dogged determination), George with his 17th goal of the season, and another for Harry together with an og. A deserved William picked up the man of the match award adapting exellently down the left wing. This win put Dpr up to second in the table just a point behind Redbridge and proved that we are now the team to beat this season, it is an absolute joy to watch every week and see the progression in this little Barca esc team.

Dpr Home to Colebrook Royals 27/11/11.
Dpr 8 - 0 Colebrook Royals
Dpr kept up their relentless quest for the league on Sunday as they beat an unfortunate Colebrook team. After last weeks impressive win over Redbridge the boys knew they had to put the graft in again and keep up the pursuit of the league leaders by grabbing another victory. The boys could not really find a rhythm in the first 5 minutes but a quickly taken corner found Jack just outside the box to smash home an unstopable strike to start the goal fest to come. The boys went in at half time 3-0 up still unable to get the normal passing game going but that soon changed in the second half as another 5 goals came and boosted an impressive tally of 50 goals scored this season. The other goal scorers on the day were Mason with a great goal following up some impressive work down the wing, and 2 hat-tricks coming from Taylan and George (his 4th of the season and his 20th goals so far). Unbelievably the boys were not at their best and really could have doubled the score with the post the bar and some uncharacteristic poor finishing keeping the score down, from Daniel in goal right down to the intelligent play from Harry and William who keep the midfield in check the boys all look like they have played together for years.Well done!
Team line up Daniel, Jack, JJ, Harry, William, Taylan, Mason, George, Connor.
