Belmont Rangers Blue 0 - 3 DPR Blue
DPR took on Belmont Rangers Blue today over at Chigwell who are another team who came down from the Prem last year. Belmont were second in the league before today's game so we knew the boys would have to be on their game today! It looked ominous when we turned up and saw that they had three kids who were six feet tall, especially as we know we have struggled with this in previous games. Well, we can forget all this rubbish about away day blues, and being scared of bigger players, because today we gave easily our best performance of the season so far! First the facts...DPR had at least 12 shots, Belmont had 1. DPR hit the bar three times, and their keeper made at least five great saves! We started off quickly as usual and could have been 3-0 up after literally three minutes! We all thought here we go again as the boys don't get what they deserve in yet another game but that all changed when we broke from midfield with Aaron, Teddy and Tommy combining to put in Thomas, who out of nothing, scored a great strikers goal, to put us 1-0 up! Reece, Charlie and Ben were having an excellent game at the back and with Teddy and Aaron shoring up the midfield with some great defensive work, this allowed Tommy and Thomas to terrorise the Belmont defenders. Belmont had no shots in the first half and we played some great, great football which was a joy to watch from the sides. The second half started as well as the first and we could have gone further ahead but some good saves from their goalkeeper kept Belmont in the hunt. The whole team defended as one today and in no way were our boys intimidated by their bigger opponents which was great to see. This is obviously a by product of Iain and Scott's Training so credit to them for finding a solution to this side of our game. Hopefully it will be a permanent one. We went 2-0 up after a great ball by Aaron put in Thomas who then unleashed a wicked shot that hit the post and Tommy was there right on queue to make it 2-0. We then went further ahead with a shot from Tommy that somehow went between the goalkeepers hands to make it 3-0 proving the point that to win the lottery you need to buy a ticket! Iain made some changes and on came Jessie and Alfie who both added to our attacking options and Alfie put in two great balls to Jessie who was unlucky not to add to his tally for the season with the keeper making some good stops! Mom: Difficult this week as they all played brilliant... and in fairness their goalkeeper had a stunner, you could make arguments for any of our players today. Ben kept a clean sheet.... Charlie and Reece who were immense at the back....Aaron and Teddy who dominated the centre of midfield.....Tommy for his two goals.....Alfie for his lovely passes through to Jessie and Jessie himself for his pace in the final third... but for me, two bits of magic from Thomas won us the game today, and for that reason i'm giving it to him.

Dagenham Park Rangers Blue team V Leaside Colts Cup Game 02nd Oct 2011
DPR 1 - 7 Leaside Colts
DPR started well and were all over a Leaside Colts team who were three divisions below us in the league. The first half finished with DPR being 5-1 up through a hatrick from Tommy and a Brace from Reese. The pitch really helped as we were shooting from everywhere, but the passing in the first half was absolutely spot on and it really could have been 10 - 1 by half time.
In the second half Iain made a few changes due to the extreme heat, and the weak opposition, but the match was still played mainly in the Leaside Colts half. We had numerous attempts on goal as the passing and movement from DPR was of such high quality, but as it was, we settled for another two goals scored by Charlie and yet another one for Tommy, who took his personal tally to four! All in all a 7-1 win is not to be sniffed at, whomever the opposition, and to say that 7-1 was not a fair reflection of the game is an understatement as it could have, and maybe should have been, into double figures. Considering this team has only played a few games together, it is great to see some of the understandings on the pitch starting to build already and long may it continue!

DPR 4 - 2 Cobra
DPR U9 Blue team today had a tough home fixture against a decent Cobra Red side and came through with flying colours. DPR dominated the early exchanges and were playing some fine attacking football with Thomas holding up the ball well in attack.
The first goal came from a swift move down the right which ended with a shot at goal that somehow went through the keepers legs and was finally bundled into the net by Thomas.(although Aaron said he wants to claim it! )
The Cobra team then caught us on the break with a swift, counter attacking move, which ended with a decent shot at goal and left Ben with no chance. DPR then came back strongly with a fantastic goal that had four one touch passes before Tommy unleashed one of his specials that went over the keepers head and made it 2-1.
The second half then started with a new ref and DPR started to launch attack after attack with some lovely passing moves and scored two quick goals through Aaron to make it 4-1, they also hit the bar and post, and at this stage of the game it looked like it could become a rout, especially as some of the passing play between Teddy, Jessie, Aaron and Tommy was exceptionally good!
The game then turned again as DPR started to look a little tired (partly due to having no sub due to an injury) and Cobra Red started to have more of the game. At this point in the game Billy and Reese were absolutely fantastic and held off every attack that came there way with Reese especially making some superbly timed tackles! The pressure eventually told though, and Cobra Red grabbed another goal that Ben had no chance with to make it 4-2. There was a great stop at the end by Ben that really kept us in control of the game and the ref finally blew his whistle to give us a well earned, deserved victory, against one of the better teams we will play in this league.
MoM Reese (exceptional defensive work today and so composed when playing it out from the back).
Ref,s Danny first half and John second

DPR BLUE TEAM U9 V Leaside Colts 23/10/11
DPR 8 - 1 Leaside Colts
Another great performance from the lads today over at the Warren.
The game started with a headed goal from Aaron after some good work down the wing. Thomas added a second and then Tommy scored the third. The fourth goal was scored by the Leaside Defender but after some great work by Teddy (who says he's claiming it!). Aaron then scored another long shot goal and then completed his hatrick after another great ball by Teddy. At half time it was 7-0 and the boys were all over Leaside Colts all day long, Teddy was having a stormer in the middle and Thomas was holding the ball up superbly and in truth it could have been alot more! The Leaside colts team were very weak and it showed as our boys completely dominated the possesion I don't think Ben had a touch in the first half? The second half was again dominated by the lads and with a bit more composure upfront we could have scored another 7, as it was we only added another one through Reece who took his tally for the season to Three. Billy was unlucky with a couple of shots and Jessie was unlucky with a great run near the end. The Leaside Colts scored a consolation goal which was a shame as it would have been nice to keep a clean sheet today. Charlie played well in the second half and had one spectacular headed clearance that was very good! The man of the match could have been anyone today, but for me I thought Teddy held it all together today and pretty much run the show, so for me he deserves it this week.

Westward Boys v DPR Oct 30th 2011
Westward Boys 3 - 1 DPR
A great game of football today over at Victoria Park as both teams gave it everything in an end to end game that was a credit to this division. We started well and had a couple of chances before Tommy put in Aaron for a great goal that put us 1-0 up. Westward came back at us but our defense was holding firm and at this stage in the game were playing well. we should have gone further ahead but unfortunately we just couldn't get the ball in the net! We had maybe three or four chances at this stage and if any had gone in we could have been home and dry. Football though, can be a cruel game, and so it proved as Westward scored a goal to make it 1-1, they then made it 2-1 very quickly after and at half time the score was a bit unfair on us! The second half was probably dominated by the Westward Boys team and they played some good football on this massive pitch, and if it wasn't for Charlie and Billy at the back, this could have been an even worse day for us! We did have a few chances in the second half as we seemed to get back into it and we had a couple of close free kicks from Tommy that just went wide, But just as we seemed to be getting back into it we got hit by another sucker punch and they made it 3-1 with a long range effort. On another day we could have been talking about a great win, but unfortunately not today, and we have to give credit to the other team as they played some lovely football from the back. The difference today was the finishing from both sides, but we have already scored over thirty goals this year so we must be doing something right! MOM:: For me it was between Charlie, Billy and Thomas, who all had great games, but Charlie seemed to be everywhere and was also composed on the ball when he had it, so for me he gets it this week.
Line Up: Ben, Billy, Reece, Aaron, Teddy, Tommy, Thomas, Charlie, Jessie

DPR V Jays Youth Playing at Home 13th November 2011
DPR 8-0 Jays Youth
DPR had another great game over at the fortress that is 'The Warren' on a lovely sunny morning. We started the game with speed as usual, and Tommy scored after some great work by Thomas. We then scored a second after some good movement by Jessie which put in Thomas to make it 2-0 in no time. Tommy was having a good game as usual and then scored another with a long shot that completely beat the keeper all ends up! The fourth was a beautifully crafted goal and inolved the whole team, we passed it out through Charlie and Reece and then Teddy found some space and put in Jessie for number four. We were all over the Jays team at this stage and to say we should have been 10-0 up is an understatement Reece and Charlie were having a blinder at the back and some of the football was great to watch! So 4-0 at half time and looking good. Iain made some changes at half time and the team continued to dominate possession, Reece seemed to have had an extra weetabix or something, as he was everywhere playing some great football, and pinging it around for fun. The fifth goal was scored by Tommy to complete his second hatrick of the year after some good work by Aaron and Reece. The sixth goal was created by Tommy down the wing who crossed it into the box and Aaron got on the end of a fumble by the keeper. Billy had to come off as he was suffering from a knee injury from last week, but we still kept our shape and managed to reorganise easily, which comes with having a great squad of players. DPR at this stage were playing some great stuff, and it was really great to see the boys starting to gel, as they all seem to know where each other are. The seventh came out of nowhere when Reece put in Aaron down the wing and Aaron just blasted it past the keeper from a good 25 yards to get his second! Then to complete a great day Teddy got the goal he deserved for his play after some more good work by Thomas and Teddy and bundled the ball over the line. 8-0.. All in all another great day for the boys and I have to make a special mention to Ben as he has been waiting all year to keep a clean sheet and today he finally got one, so to see his big smile at the end of the game was great! MOM: Well pick one from anyone... as they were all maginificent, and it's a bit harsh on Tommy that he hasn't after getting a hatrick, but for me today Reece was back to the player we all know he is, and he just looked like like he was really enjoying being captain for the day. He really did put in a captain's performance and his passing was just top notch...excellent!

Tiger Yellow Socks V DPR Blue
Tigers 2 - 2 DPR
Today was not a great day at the office for the lads as we were so unlucky in many aspects, but Football is a hard game and sometimes if you don't take your chances you get punished. We started off really well after Aaron surged down the right and put in a cross for Thomas who passed to Teddy who cooly finished to make it 1-0. Everyone was expecting us to go on to dominate, but it just never happened today. Poor old Iain and Scott must be pulling out, what little hair they have left, as we totally dominated the first half, but just did not get a really clear chance at goal. Then they broke once and scored from the resulting Free kick. Ditto the second half.... as yet again we dominated the game but only got the one goal from Thomas which was a cracking little header by him. We nearly went 3-1 up through a great shot by Charlie which was inches over the bar but yet again we conceded from a set piece late in the game to allow Tigers to earn a well deserved point. Their number six at the back had an exceptional game and he pretty much defended everything we could throw their way today. Our away form seems to be a little stumbling block for us, but I'm sure Iain and Scott will find a solution to our away day blues because at home we are a different team! On another day we would have scored six but not today. I'm sure the boys will put it right in the next game and we can just put this one down to a bad day and a great number six for them! No MOM this week as no one player was any better than anyone else on the day.

DPR playing home to Redbridge United
DPR 0 - 1 Redbridge
Another defeat for the lads but the result was such hard luck on the lads. We played really well on the day and created almost all of the chances but just couldn't finish it off at the end. In the first half we had so much possession but we just couldn't get the ball in the net, and meanwhile at the back Ben, Charlie and Reece were all having a solid game. Aaron and Tommy both put in some lovely crosses but we just couldn't seem to get that piece of luck that sometimes we need. So 0-0 at half time but looking good for a result. Iain made some changes at half time and we kept pressing the Redbridge goal and had at least four chances to score but again just couldn't get something on the end of it or were just putting it wide of the post! Aaron was unlucky with a dipping shot that just went over. At the back we were playing really well and snuffed out anything Redbridge could muster very quickly. Alfie made his debut and played well considering it was his first game with the lads and hopefully he will be a very useful addition to the team. Near the end of the game Redbridge started to turn on the pressure and had a few corners in a row and then the invetiable happened and we conceded an undeserved goal from a set piece. It was a shame on the lads as all in all we really had worked hard to compete with Redbridge all across the pitch and to have that happen at the end was just harsh...That's football though and we will dust ourselves down and get ready for Belmont who are also one of the better teams in this league. The Redbridge manager even admitted they were lucky to get the three points at the end and the sides were so well matched, but we did play well on the day, so we can't be to down about it.
MOM For me it was between Charlie and Aaron..Charlie was majestic at the back and he is coming on a treat as a classy defender he had his player in his pocket all day long and was very impressive(so unlucky not to keep a clean sheet). Aaron also played really well considering he has suffered from flu all week, (he also got a bloody nose during the game)but he insisted on helping the lads out and put in a good display but for me Charlie just pips it this week.
